VITAMIN GRANT APPLICATION

The purpose of the Vitamin Grant Program is to provide partnership funding for churches actively engaged in the development of new ministries and projects, and the redevelopment of existing ministries and projects, or any program or project, proposed by the congregation which by its development would lead to greater vitality and health within the church. These partnership funds are intended to encourage creativity and commitment within the church. The maximum amount granted shall be $500 per year per church.

 

VITAMIN FUNDS MAY BE USED FOR:

  1. Material Resources (S.S. curriculum, music, printed matter)
  2. Media Resources
  3. Consultant/Training Resources
  4. Ancillary Expenses


VITAMIN FUNDS MAY BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER PARTNERSHIP FUNDS.

 

VITAMIN FUNDS MAY NOT BE USED FOR:

  1. Supplement or part of the pastor's compensation or professional expenses, regardless of the pastor's status.
  2. Payment for services to any member of the church requesting the funds, except for the reimbursement of incurred expenses.


EXAMPLES OF MINISTRIES/PROGRAMS/PROJECTS FOR WHICH VITAMIN FUNDS MAY BE GRANTED:

 

*   Enhancement of C.E. Program

*   Enhancement of Music Program

*   Development of Committee Mission

*   Special Educational/Training Program

*   Development of Evangelistic Outreach

*   Stewardship Training


 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Application - including description of project, current church budget, verification of need, method, resources available and needed, goals, means of evaluation, contact person.
  2. On-site review prior to approval (by Vitamin Grant Sub-Committee and/or Congregational Nurture Committee).
  3. Progress reports/reviews at negotiated intervals.
  4. Final Report

Which Churches May Apply? Any Church In The Presbytery!

When the application has been submitted, the Vitamin Grant Sub-Committee will meet with representatives of the church to review the application and explore all possibilities. This team will make a recommendation to the Congregational Nurture Committee for approval or disapproval.

The project will be monitored as negotiated.

A final report will be submitted to the Congregational Nurture Committee describing what was done and what effect it had on the life of the church, both for reasons of accountability and to provide a resource for other congregations.
