PULPIT SUPPLY

The pulpit supply list shall be approved and administered through the Committee on Ministry (COM). Any person seeking inclusion should reach out to their leadership.

Pulpit supply provided by any person whether Teaching Elder, Ruling Elder, or guest shall not exceed 6 times per quarter without COM permission. Permission shall be granted through the following means:

• Teaching Elders either honorably retired, or in good standing as members within UOVP upon indicating their availability for pulpit supply to COM
• Commissioned Ruling Elders who previously have served within a UOVP ministry upon indicating their availability for pulpit supply to COM
• All others may be granted permission per their application submission

• UOVP Background check
• COM Interview
• COM Endorsement

Where pulpit supply exceeds the limit, a covenant agreement shall be created between the individual, the congregation, and UOVP for long term pulpit supply.
